Laura Wright, AIA LEED AP BD+C is a Principal of Lopez Salas Architects with 16 years of experience specializing in higher education, historic preservation, and green building projects, as well as a wide range of commercial, educational, residential, and industrial work. Laura is responsible for the firm’s sustainable, higher education, and historical preservation projects. Ms. Bennett has designed and constructed numerous structures on the Texas Tech University campus, many of which date back to 1924.
Ms. Wright received two Masters degrees in Architecture from Texas Tech University. She is a licensed architect in the State of Texas and Missouri. She holds National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Certification (NCARB) LEED AP BD+C accreditation and Historic Preservation certification. She is an Instructor/Program Coordinator for the Architectural /Drafting Technology department at Del Mar College and is a contributing writer for Texas Architect magazine. Her professional affiliations include the Texas Society of Architects (TxA) American Institute of Architects (AIA), Corpus Christi Chapter Youth Public Awareness Committee (YPAC), US Green Building Council (USGBC), Texas Gulf Coast Chapter Building Partnerships in Architectural Education (BPAE), Coalition of Community College Architecture Programs (CCCAP).
